Unilever to Unveil New Weight-Loss Technology

Unilever could soon release a drink that reduces appetite and tastes like a milkshake. 

 

 

According to a Reuters report, the drink works by trapping gas in foods to make people feel full. Unilever researchers claim the new drink worked better than the company’s signature brand Slim-Fast in a recent study. Unilever has patented the technology and recently presented its findings at the 2008 European Congress on Obesity. “I would say this is not limited to liquids, it could be used in other food forms,” said developer Sergei Melnikov.
