What is Natural Products Expo Asia all about?

Natural Products Expo Asia is a gateway event for U.S. companies interested in doing business in China and the Asian Pacific markets. New Hope Natural Media is committed to helping the natural products industry bridge the gap.

As publisher and editorial director of Nutrition Business Journal, I was honored to attend and speak at Natural Products Expo Asia in Hong Kong this last August.  What an experience. 

Natural Products Expo Asia is a gateway event for the natural products industry produced by New Hope Natural Media and Penton Media, the parent company of Nutrition Business Journal.

Attendance, engagement and exhibiting companies climbed immensely in 2010.  I was very impressed with the dramatic changes taking hold in Hong Kong since my last trip to Expo Asia in 2004. There is more interest, better distribution and growing experience in the attendees and exhibitors. 

Our commitment at New Hope Natural Media to building Asian Pacific and U.S. businesses in the natural products industry is strong. It is our business.  

Our goal is to produce a great show with well-prepared exhibitors and the right attendees. Our excitement is in the hope that those who attend Natural Products Expo Asia will all find new business and opportunities that will serve them today and tomorrow. 

As the historical gateway to Asia, we believe Hong Kong continues to offer exhibitors the best opportunity to develop Asia-Pacific market relationships, and a few others, perhaps unexpected, from the many other regions around the world represented at the show.

The global nutrition industry remains an excellent industry in which to invest and launch new products. The global demographics are strong and opportunities abound. NBJ estimates that the global nutrition industry's consumer sales were $310 billion U.S. dollars in 2010.  Growth was roughly 7%. This far exceeds the growth of many other industries in this troubled global economy. Opportunities in the BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India and China) are the greatest from a long-term perspective because of a rapidly growing middle class and interest in self care and health and wellness. 

The exhibitors and attendees at Natural Products Expo Asia were front and center to serve this demand and opportunity.

Though political figures and cable news celebrities may speak of economic uncertainty to the point of downward spiral thinking, I believe we are blessed to be in this natural products industry where radiant business possibilities surround us. 

It was exciting to see the business people at Natural Products Expo Asia accepting of these radiant business possibilities. Their energy was high because not only is there radiant possibility in the products we sell, but also in the relationships we build.
