Summary of Role
The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the strategic sales plan for their respective region through development and servicing a wide variety of accounts. Responsible for headquarter calls based in Northern California. The Retail Accounts are predominantly in the Northern California region and duties include advancing Northern California Regional Milk Sales based on increased fluid milk supply. This is a safety sensitive role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
o Develop and execute strategic sales plan for regional sales.
o Create and hit budget targets for both expenses and sales.
o New business development including new items and new accounts.
o Help strategize and execute new product roll outs.
o Assist in developing and executing all sales and distribution strategies.
o Open up key Organic & Natural Distributors and Retailers.
o Interview, screen, evaluate and manage all brokers.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
o Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
o Currently living in the greater San Francisco bay area.
o Current RSM position or equivalent with another company.
o Established relationships with both natural and independent market distributors and retailers, primarily in the Northern California area.
o Understanding of and experience in budgeting, both in sales and expenses.
o Broker management experience.
o Knowledge of and/or commitment to the natural/organic industry.
o Independent performer and team player.
o Ability to travel for trade shows, sales calls, and meetings - approximately 35% of time.
o Proven integrity in life/employment and honesty in dealings with others.
o Proven sales record.
o Ability to interact effectively with the Inside Sales Manager, National Sales Manager, Trade Show Coordinator and Marketing Assistants.
o At least two years of retail sales and merchandising, preferably in the natural and organic industry.
o Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
o Wage based on experience.
