Cognis announced the first price increase in naturally sourced vitamin E and natural plant sterol prices last week. The new pricing applies to Covitol natural-source vitamin E, Covi-ox natural mixed tocopherols and Cognis’ industry-leading non-GM, IP-certified forms of these two product groups, as well as Vegapure plant sterols and sterol esters. “The rapid escalation in raw material costs plus the steady increase in energy, transportation and packaging costs have reached a point that we cannot act.”
