Food-supplement convergence is a growing trend across the industry, and it will lead to more label confusion in the future. We talk all the time about not pixie-dusting, so we are encouraging manufacturers to use efficacious doses if they are going to put functional ingredients into their products, be they supplements, foods or beverages. As a food or beverage includes more and more functional ingredients at efficacious doses, when does it cross over into the supplement category?</p>
