CHICAGO, IL, Dec 12, 2007 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- Amway and Scandinavian Clinical Nutrition USA, LLC, a subsidiary of Scandinavian Clinical Nutrition AB, publicly traded in Sweden and Norway (Ticker: SCN), have established a licensing agreement. This partnership will involve an international license of CUUR, the top selling weight loss product in Sweden, for multilevel marketing (network marketing). CUUR is one of several clinically tested products by Scandinavian Clinical Nutrition USA, LLC.

"Nutrilite is excited to include CUUR in its product line as it is a clinically tested and patent-pending formula demonstrating statistically significant weight loss, and more importantly, significant fat loss, in a well-controlled human study," says Robin Dykhouse, Vice-President, Health & Beauty Research & Product Development for Access Business Group, a division of Amway, and manufacturer of Nutrilite(TM) products. "This partnership is certainly going to benefit consumers since CUUR will be available in yet another channel of distribution. Amway is one of the most established and recognized nutrition companies and we're very excited to be working with them in the international licensing of CUUR and future products," adds Gwen Kent, President of Scandinavian Clinical Nutrition USA, LLC.

This agreement also provides Amway a right of first refusal for products and technology licensed to Scandinavian Clinical Nutrition developed by the Karolinska Institute, an internationally recognized Swedish institution that awards the Nobel Prize for Medicine. Scandinavian Clinical Nutrition has formed a 10-year, $10 million research agreement with the Karolinska Institute through their Network of Excellence, which will serve to benefit Amway, which also maintains a strong focus on the research and development of new products.

"We are happy SCN USA, LLC has secured this royalty agreement with a prominent dietary supplement brand such as Nutrilite(TM)," says Ulf Soederberg, CEO of Scandinavian Clinical Nutrition AB (publ). Nutrilite(TM) is the world's leading brand of vitamin, mineral, and dietary supplements.
