Cookie line with vegetables
Original Smart Cookie, a division of Nature's Select Food Group, has launched its new line of cookies. Made from all natural ingredients, the cookies cleverly provide fruits and vegetables, such as squash, carrots and cauliflower. The four varieties are: Chocoloco, a double chocolate cookie with spinach, broccoli, zucchini, peas, dried apricots and applesauce; Yellow Mellow, a chocolate chip cookie with corn, cauliflower, squash and applesauce; Nuts-Oat Crazy, a chocolate peanut butter cookie with carrots, parsnips, sweet potatoes, applesauce and oatmeal; and Gimme a Beat, made with beets, raspberries and applesauce. The cookies come in 12oz packages and are available in two sizes: bite-size (about 36 mini cookies) and regular (12 cookies).
Shelf-ready açai beverage
Açai Roots of California has launched its fifth shelf-stable and ready-to-drink beverage, Açai Roots Pure Açaí Juice. Its other products include açaí juice smoothies, açaí energy shots and the açaí liquid concentrate. The new drink is full of antioxidants (3,000 ORAC per serving), omegas and other nutrients; it is available in 10oz and 32oz bottles.
Vitamin D3 launched by Jarrow
Jarrow Formulas has launched Vitamin D3, 5000IU, a cholecalciferol form of vitamin D that is the most bioavailable. Cholecalciferol is the naturally occurring form of vitamin D; it is a prehormone that is synthesized naturally in the skin by ultraviolet B irradiation of 7-dehydrocholesterol. Cholecalciferol is real vitamin D and all other compounds are either metabolic products or chemical modifications. Low levels of Vitamin D are linked to poor heart health and insulin resistance.
Supplement for mental clarity
EuroPharma's new Mental Advantage dietary supplement combines two plant oils — rosemary and sage — with curcumin (from the herb turmeric) and vitamin D.
