PISCATAWAY, N.J., May 30, 2006 ‹ Sabinsa Corporation, a manufacturer and supplier of high quality herbal extracts, cosmeceuticals, minerals and specialty fine chemicals, today announced it has opened a new office, Sabinsa Europe GmbH, in Langen, Germany.

"Sabinsa has had a broad presence in Europe for over a decade, but it became evident that due to the increasingly tight regulatory environment in the EU we could better serve our agents and significantly grow our customer base by establishing our own office and distribution center for our ingredients," stated Todd Norton, president, Sabinsa Corporation. "Germany offered the ideal place to set up our operations due to its central location in Europe and rich heritage in botanical ingredients."

Lutz Weise, Ph.D., has been appointed resident director of Sabinsa Europe GmbH and Simone Rexin has been hired as business development manager. Dr. Weise has a doctorate in chemical engineering, as well as an MBA. He is fluent in French, German and English, and has extensive scientific marketing experience in the biotechnical and pharmaceutical industries.
