Maple-Glazed Cranberries Yields 1 1/2 cups Crimson, sweet-tart cranberries add sparkle to our Lovely Lemon Layer Cake but won't give you a sugar rush. Fresh cranberries are available from September until December. Buy extra cranberries while they're in season and freeze them to use year round.

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes

1/4 cup maple syrup
1-1/2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
Pinch of sea salt
1/2 teaspoon orange extract

1. Pour maple syrup into a small, heavy-bottomed saucepan. Bring syrup to a low boil. Stir in cranberries and salt and cook until cranberries just start to burst. Remove from heat and stir in orange extract. Let berries cool completely before garnishing cake.

Could an argument be made that spiked supplements are in reality mislabeled pharmaceuticals? The manufacturers know what the ingredients are. They have neglected to proper label their pharmaceutical product. Could this be a situation to be addressed by the pharmaceutical industry with punishment in accordance with mislabeled pharmaceuticals?
