GutGard clinical study published in ECAM journal

The Research Article ECAM/216970 titled "An extract of Glycyrrhiza glabra (GutGardTM) alleviates symptoms of functional dyspepsia—a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study, reports the beneficial effects of GutGard(TM) in patients/subjects with functional dyspepsia. The double blind, randomized, placebo controlled study that enrolled subjects with functional dyspepsia symptoms (upper abdominal fullness, upper abdominal pain, belching, bloating, early satiety, regurgitation, heartburn, loss of appetite etc.) was designed to establish the efficacy and safety of GutGard™. Study subjects daily received either GutGard™ (75 mg twice daily) or placebo for 30 days. GutGard™ treated group showed remarkable improvement in global assessment of efficacy and quality of life (as measured by short form Nepean Dyspepsia Index) in comparison to the placebo group and GutGard™ was found to be safe and well tolerated by all subjects.
