Global sales of natural and organic cosmetics are soaring, with revenues expected to reach $7 billion in 2007 and surpass $10 billion before 2010, according to new research by Organic Monitor.
North America and Europe, which comprise the majority of the year’s $1 billion sales increase, stand as “the two engines of growth,” the marketing information firm says. By 2010, “the market share of natural and organic products of total cosmetics is projected to near 10% in countries like Germany and the U.S.” The boom in market growth is driven by three factors, Organic Monitor says.
