EU approval could boost stevia's global demand

Sales of natural food and beverage products sweetened with stevia grew 67 percent in the United States between 2009 and 2010. Next up, the European Union is set to approve the sale of this calorie-free, natural sweetener in 2012. This will likely prompt an increase in global demand.
