These products may not have labels proclaiming their GMO-free status, but they're among the latest batch of foods, beverage and supplements to receive a green light from the Non-GMO Project to carry the nonprofit's Non-GMO Project Verified label. The organization okayed 118 new products just last month and evidence suggests continued interest from manufacturers as the label increasingly gains traction with consumers. 1. Follow Your Heart Original Vegenaise
This long-time natural food's store staple gets a makeover with organic canola oil and soy. The vegan, gluten-free, kosher mayonnaise has only 90 calories and 9 grams of fat—mostly unsaturated—per 1 tablespoon serving. It also has no cholesterol. -
2. New Chapter Cal Mag Bone Health
Customers may not consider reading the ingredient decks of supplements to look for potential GMO contaminates, but many formulations include corn and soy-based additives which can serve as binders. New Chapter is the first supplement company to join the Non-GMO project with this bone-nourishing formulation that contains a balanced 1-to-1 calcium, magnesium ratio. -
3. Garden of Eatin Red Hot Blues Spicy All Natural Tortilla Chips
The sweet, nutty flavor of these chips comes from the use of organic blue corn which also provides a hearty texture making them perfect for dipping, the company states. A dash of cayenne pepper balances out flavor. -
4. Silk Chocolate Soymilk
As the non-diary milk category becomes increasingly crowded, Silk steps ahead of the competition by being one of the first brands to become Non-GMO Project Verified. The company is also working on an initiative that will provide transparency on how its soybeans get from crop to carton. This chocolate soymilk offers 5 grams of soy protein, naturally occurring omega-3 fatty acid and 30 percent of the daily recommended value of calcium per serving. -
5. Hodgson Mill Brownie Mix made with Whole Wheat Flour and Milled Flax Seed
This brownie mix takes the guilt out of dessert by providing 450 mg. of omega-3 fatty acids per serving from milled flax seed. Turbinado sugar (from sugar cane), whole wheat pastry flour, cocoa and salt round out the simple ingredient deck. Remind customers to use Non-GMO Project Verified oil if following the recipe on the back of the box. -

Natural shoppers can once again reach with confidence for this versatile oil which is high in monounsaturated fats and omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids. Though 23 percent of the canola (rapeseed) planted is genetically modified, Napa Valley produces this 100 percent expeller pressed option from organic seed. -
7. Manitoba Harvest Vanilla Hemp Protein
